White Chocolate Cherry Fudge Ingredients
1 1/2 cup granulated sugar.
2/3 cup milk (whole milk)
1/2 stick (1/4 cup) butter or margarine (not soft spreadable margarine).
1 1/2 cup white chocolate chips (vanilla chips)
1 teaspoon full vanilla extract.
1/2 cup sliced toasted almonds.
1/2 cup dried cherries or cranberries.
To make the Chocolate Cherry Fudge:Line an 18 inch square pan with foil; grease the foil.
Mix sugar and milk in a heavy 3 quart saucepan.
Add the butter and bring to a boil over medium heat stirring constantly.
Without stirring boil vigorously for five minutes.
Remove the mixture from the heat.
And the vanilla extract and chocolate chips.
Stir, then whisk until the chips melt and the fudge mixture is smooth.
Stir in almonds and cherries.
Spread the fudge in the prepared pan.
Refrigerate for six hours until firm.
Turn over the pan and peel off the foil.
Turn over the White Chocolate Cherry Fudge and cut into 1 inch squares |
