CHOCOLATE BROWNIE OATMEAL COOKIES

Chocolate Brownie Oatmeal Cookies Ingredients

12 ounces semisweet chocolate pieces
8 ounces cream cheese
1/2 cup margarine or butter
1 cup of firmly packed brown sugar.
1/2 cup granulated sugar
2 eggs
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
3 cups Quaker Oats, uncooked (quick or old-fashioned)
1 cup chopped nuts.
Powdered sugar optional

Method:

Melt the chocolate pieces.
Soften the margarineand the cream cheese. Beat together the cream cheese, margarine and both sugars until creamy.
At eggs and vanilla; beat well. Add melted chocolate and mix well. Add combined flour and baking soda, mix well. Stir in the Oats and nuts, mix well.
Cover and chill for at least one hour.
Heat oven to 350°F.
Shape dough into 1 inch balls and place 3 inches apart on a greased cookie sheet.
