BANANA CHOCOLATE CAKE

Ingredients for the Banana Chocolate Cake

6 tablespoons butter
3/4 cup sugar
3/4 cup molasses
3 eggs
2 1/2 cups mashed overripe bananas
2 3/4 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup Chocolate chips.

Making the Cake:


Preheat oven to 350°F.Cream together butter and sugar in a mixer.
Add this to the molasses and mix until combined.
Add the eggs, then mix in the bananas.
Mix in the flour, baking soda, salt and vanilla extract, mix until smooth.
Fold in the chocolate chips.
Place the better in a buttered and floured 9 inch springform mould.
Bake for about one hour until toothpick inserted in the centre comes out clean.
Remove from oven and let the cake cool on a rack. Cut the Banana Chocolate Cake in half to form two layers. Frost with your favourite chocolate frosting.
